Abstract:

In the scope of this thesis, two new Schiff bases and Ni(II) and Pt(II) which are complexes of them were synthesized as a result of condensation of 5-aminotetrazole with 5- bromosalicylaldehyde and 3.5-dibromosalicyaldeyhde. Sythesized Schiff base and elemental analyse of metal complexes 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis-GB spectrums were revealed by using thermal analysis and molar conductivity methods. It was detected as Ni(II) complexes have octahedral structure on the other hand Pt(II) complexes have square planer geometrical structure. Interaction of all ligands and complexes with Calf Thymus DNA were investigated by using electron absorption spectrocopy and bonding constants were detected. DNA bonding constant ,in the base of (5-Br-Sal-Tet) Schiff, has been detected as the highest value as Kb=2,15x105 . Among the complexes, the bonding constant of the octahedral [Pt(5-Br-Sal-Tet)] complex has been determined as 2,58x105 .
