The aim of this study is to investigate the thermal and electrical properties of the shape memory alloy with atomic Ni50Mn39Sn11 composition and to investigate the changes in the structure of the alloy due to heat treatment and the effect of this process time. The alloy produced as an ingot by arc melting method was subjected to heat treatment at 900oC for 17 hours under high purity argon atmosphere and cooled in brine-ice water. The alloy was cut into small pieces for use in physical measurements. SEM-EDS analyzes were performed to find the atomic and weight percent ratios of the alloy. Metallographic methods were examined. The peaks of the alloy were determined from the X-ray diffraction pattern and crystal structure analysis was performed. TG/DTA and DSC measurements were performed and phase transformation temperatures and enthalpy changes were investigated. Activation energies were calculated. The results were supported by electrical measurement results. Science
