Abstract:In this study the %dd and profile measurements have been done in symmetric and asymmetric fields on the different field size by using GE Saturne 43 model linear accelerator with 15 MV photon energy in Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Ankara Education and Research Hospital. When we compared symmetric and asymmetric field before calibration, approximately %2,8 difference in %dd has been seen. After calibration %dd measurement has been done again. The penumbras in symmetric and asymmetric profiles have been compared. In measurements, we obtained that penumbra value of asymmetric field during the asymmetry axis is clearly less than penumbra value of symmetric field edge. On the other hand, we obtained that profile flatness and symmetry of symmetric field is better than profile flatness and symmetry of asymmetric field.
