11 MUSICAL ANALYSIS AND PERFORMANCE INTERRELATIONS IN PIANO EDUCATION (Ph.D Thesis) Serkan Ercan BA?ÇECİ THE INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY OF GAZI UNIVERSITY JUNE 2001 ABSTRACT This research is done to establish the degree of success of a sample group which is processed by an "analytical approach based" piano education. Experimental method is used in the research, and the data is processed after being collected by means of observation and non-prametric statistical methods era used in findings and interpretations section. All the aspects of experimental study based on analytical approach are exposed being faithful to general musical fundamentals and expectations of the piano education in the foundations in which music teachers are educated.
