Abstract:

In the study, steganography methods and algorithms are investigated. Within the scope of the research, steganography methods are analyzed according to two parts as the cover types and hiding algorithms in use. For this purpose, steganographic applications and recent research are scanned. Based on literature findings, private and secure Android mobile messaging application that hides real-time data into the audio files has been developed. Online messaging application Audio Chat (AUCH) has been developed to perform this study. Although, the developed application has no difference from any regular online chat applications, according to the steganographic method which is selected in the voice message section, it is possible to hide any data within the audio file in real time and also it is possible that this data can be transferred online to the other user within the audio file secretly. As a result, a successful secret communication application that uses 4 LSB algorithm has been developed. According to data hide, extraction of data and the total time, speeds of the algorithms, which are named as standard LSB algorithm, Mielikainen, F5 and Chan's algorithm, are in a descending sequence.
