Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate the use of social capital in accordance with the opinion of the levels of primary school administrators and classroom teachers. The purpose of this research also is to reveal the relationship between social capital and gender, education level, status, seniority variables. This research was conducted in relational model. The research population in the 2013-2014 academic year form 1413 classroom teachers and 212 school administrators at primary schools of Yenimahalle, Akyurt, Haymana and Kızılcahamam districts of Ankara city. The study sample selected using stratified sampling method constitutes 297 classroom teachers and 74 scholl administrators at primary schools of Yenimahalle, Akyurt, Haymana and Kızılcahamam districts of Ankara city. In the study "Expression For The Elements Of Social Capital" scale was used. According to the results of the study of social capital according to the views of school administrators that a high level of use in the primary school level, while the level of social capital used in accordance with the opinions of elementary scholl teachers appeared to be moderate. According to the gender variables on the basis of elements of social capital in elementary schools have reached conclusion that there is a significant difference between the opinions of school administrators and compared to male managers social capital is less satisfactory. According to the opinion of the teacher is seen that there was no significant difference except for elements of social networks. According to the education level variables on the basis of elements of social capital in elementary schools are observed that there is not a significant difference between the opinions of both school administrators and elementary school teachers. According to the status variables on the basis of elements of social capital in elementary schools are observed that there is a significant difference excluding the element of social networks between the opinions of school administrators and school principals believe that it is at a higher level compared to the level of deputy director of the use of trust, norms and values, interest, interaction and participation and loyalty and belonging elements. According to the seniority variables on the basis of elements of social capital in elementary schools are observed that there is not a significant difference between the opinions of school administrators. There were a significant difference between the opinions of the elementary school teachers according to the elements of interest, interaction and participation and loyalty and belonging in terms of seniority variables. However, There were no significant differences between the opinions of the elementary school teachers according to the elements of trust, norms and values and social networks in terms of seniority variables.
