Abstract:

Personnel selection problem is a multi criteria group decision making problem, as more than one alternative are evaluated with respect to criteria by more than one decision-maker. Moreover, it is very hard to easily represent information about in what degree alternatives satisfy criteria according to the preference of decision makers in personnel selection process. Intuiotinsitic fuzzy set which is characterized by membership function, non-membership function and hesitation margin, is an effective method to represent the preference of decision makers. In this study, TOPSIS method which is one of the most popular methods at multi criteria group decision making literature recently, extended to intuitionistic fuzzy environment is proposed to select appropriate personnel among candidates and applied to sales expert selection problem for a information company.
