Abstract:

The aim of this study is to specify the effect of drama-based marketing education on

teamwork skills of 11th-grade students of vocational and technical high schools The research

was conducted through experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group. The

study group was determined with homogeneous sampling from purposeful sampling

methods. The study group of research consisted of 39 students, attending the Vocational-

Technical High School of the Municipality of Ankara-Sincan in two different

neighbourhoods in 2018-2019 academic years. While 21 students took part in experimental

group, 18 students took part in control group. The data were collected through ‘General

Information Form’ and ‘Teamwork Susceptibility Scale’(TWSS) during the the research

process. Within the scope of the research, ‘Drama-Based Marketing Education Teamwork

Program’ was prepared.TWSS was applied as pre-test to the experimental group and the

control group, after that ‘Drama-Based Marketing Education Teamwork Program’ was

applied to the experimental group two times a week for eight weeks. At the end of the eightix

week training program, TWSS was applied as post-test to the experimental and the control

group again. Four weeks after applying the post test, TWSS was applied to the experimental

group by the trainer to determine whether the training is permanent or not. As a result of the

analysis of data obtained from ‘General Information Form’ and TWSS, it was determined

by using t-test whether there was a difference between experimental group students who

participated in the ‘Drama-Based Marketing Education Teamwork Program’, and control

group students who did not participate this training. Furthermore, by using the t-test, it was

also determined whether there was a difference between the experimental groups’ and the

control groups’ pre-test and post-test scores and whether there was a difference between the

post-test scores and permanency test scores of experimental group students. As a result of

the findings, it has been determined that ‘Drama-Based Marketing Education Teamwork

Program’ has positive and permanent impact on the development of teamwork skills.
