Abstract:

In this study I tried to document, with a critical entirety, how contemporary artists perceive and interpret nature and in what means their implementations differ from the ones of the past. The study started with what nature meant for human beings and which behavioral patterns do they formed towards it and proceeded to the subject of meanings expressed by the artists in particular. Then I limited my study periodically to cover the time after 1980 and examined the topics like the actions of artists on nature, their artistic works inspired by the nature and how environmental consciousness affected their work; supporting them with selected, suitable examples. This study concluded as it has been reviewed and evaluated together with my artistic works which constituted my Proficiency in Art' exhibition
