Abstract:

“Health” is the most important issue during the life of a person. In any health condition, the person suffers both mentally and physically. Hospitals are expected to be at a higher level in terms of accessibility because they are open to the use of every individual in the society. It should be accessible not only as a structure, but also for vehicles and pedestrian paths that provide access to the structure and the elements constituting the exterior design. In this context, the aim of the study is to determine the extent to which people with disabilities who live for a period of disability and who continue their lives as individuals with disabilities have access to the leading hospitals, and as a result to find solutions to situations. Within the scope of the study, Çankırı State Hospital, a public hospital, was selected; The hospital and its environs were examined by collecting data with observation and examination techniques and forms prepared based on TS 12576 and TS 9111 standards. The review was developed by filling out forms, feeling as a user, photographing situations and ultimately offering solutions to negative aspects of accessibility
