Abstract:In this study, a sensitive and selective MISPE-spectrfluorimetric method has been developed for the determination of Telmisartan (Tel) in different media (aqueous, organic and human urine) . DMAEMA was used as functional monomer, EGDMA as a cross-linker, AIBN as an initiator and Chl as a porogen. MIP and NIP which was used as SPE sorbent have been synthesized using UV lamp. Matrix effect of biological media was removed by MISPE technique and Tel was easily determined in different harsh media. Owing to selectivity of MISPE technique and sensitivity of spectrofluorimetry, Tel has been successfully analysed quantitatively in both organic and aqueous media at low concentrations. High mean recovery (for MIP, 76.6% ± 1.46 and for NIP, 32.76% ± 2.95) and low %RDS values were obtained for spiked Tel in human urine samples. Relatively high intra-day and inter-day precision results were also obtained. The linear range of the calibration curve was in the range 0.1 to 0.8 µg/mL for developed method. Limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) values were 0.0282 and 0.0854 µg/mL, respectively.
