Abstract:

Adaptive educational hypermedias offer individualized learning environment according to students characteristics, knowledge and purposes. Generally, in adaptive educational hypermedia creating the user model based on the characteristics of user and applying adaptations of text, content or presentations according to created user model. Providing different forms of content representation based on the user model as well as creating the user model in adaptive educational hypermedia is of great importance in terms of learning. The purpose of this study is to develop a web based application for content development in adaptive educational hypermedia and examine the usability of the developed application. The research model is developmental research and focuses on a specific product in this research. An expert review form was developed for examining the usability of application and opinions were asked of the usability of the system from 7 different experts. As a result, the developed application has been found to have a high usability level. In addition, the system has been updated / developed based on expert suggestions and the system has been published at www.adaptivecontentdevelopment.com.
