Viewing of the universe, events in the universe and opinions by people with an aesthetical aspect may prevent many problems in the world before they occurred. An education system correctly educating spirit, mind and body of human keep human away from confusion and disorder as much as it can reach its objectives. Arrival of human to such a point contributes to world peace implicitly. It is necessary to improve beauty sense existing with them potentially in order to get to a level they are able to see their environment with positive looks. Art thought and art branches are important tools that will ensure improving of beauty sense of human. Due to this reason, it is quite important for art education, personal and social life. Literature is the most natural and the widest among art branches. An important aspect of literature is being an art branch reaching to its addressees in the easiest and the most direct way. Word which is material of the literature reaches from artist to its addressee without incurring to any change in any manner. The literature speaks out the things that all artworks desire to express. Today, various problems are encountered on education, aesthetics, literature and art education. Opinions of people specialized on education, literature and art themes play important role for removal of these problems. Mehmet Kaplan is one of the names that have made effort in this field in Turkey. Mehmet Kaplan who was born in 1915 devoted all his life to education until he died in 1986. Mr. Kaplan had become a good educator both in his daily life and academic life; besides his that characteristic, he produced opinions directing art and literature education through many artworks he wrote. Theme of this research is talking about thoughts of Mehmet Kaplan about art and literature education and redounding aesthetic abilities to individuals. Miscellaneous suggestions are stated about aesthetic, art and literature education by acting from thoughts of Mr. Kaplan in the research. Answers looked for questions of What is the role of art and literature about redounding aesthetical viewpoint to individuals? What are contributions of thoughts and practices of Mehmet Kaplan to this matter?
