Abstract:

In this thesis study, in addition to general view to cryptology, detailed information regarding crypto systems used from past to present, electronic attacks that will block the communication or try to gain the information, security principles on data transmission, symmetric, asymmetric and hybrid systems is given. Subsequently, examples and information regarding mathematical processing's and stages at the Advanced Encryption Standard that is constructed by National Institute of Standards and Technology and used in many areas where the data security is important. Advanced Encryption Standard as an application using MATLAB simulation was developed and applied to a sample.
