Abstract:

It is very important to evaluate and select suppliers in terms of occurring future plans of the companies. It provides advantage to the businesses to overcome this important issue in supply chain management. In the last few years, with the increasing sensitivity to the environment green principles and strategies have become new competition vehicle of enterprises. While companies try to increase productivity and profitability through green practices at the same time they want to minimize the negative effects on the environment. In this study, it has been tried to select environmentally sensitive suppliers of a frim who produces lightning rod and grounding materials. The main and sub criteria of green suppli-er selection are determined. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) which is one of the methods of multi criteria decision making methods is used in criterion weight calculations. The most appropriate green suppliers are determined for the company by using Vise Kriteri-jumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method.
