Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to create a decision-making template within the scope of many criteria, starting from the installation cost, by evaluating the concrete and intangible criteria that are suitable for personal requests while choosing a cooling system and to show the alternative choices numerically. For this purpose, an architectural plan specific to Ankara province was determined and heat gain calculations were made using the Carrier HAP program. With the data obtained, the cooling systems that are widely used in our country and in the world were designed. Installation cost, maintenance cost, energy consumption, greenhouse gas emission, installation area for the outdoor unit, required shaft area, outdoor unit sound intensity, indoor unit sound intensity, ease of use were calculated for the designed systems. The mathematical aspects of comparing these calculations and other criteria, which are examined by analytical hierarchy process (AHP), VIKOR and TOPSIS, which are among the multi-criteria decision making methods, were tried to be revealed.
