Abstract:

The main purpose of this research is to investigate the pre-service biology and science teachers' opinions about global warming. Also their opinions investigated about global warming that differ by some variables as sexual and department. The working group of this survey consists of undergraduate students in fall term in 2010-2011 academic years who are studying in Science Education and Biology Education departmens in Gazi University. The working group contains 27 3rd year students, 21 4th year students and 32 5th year students. Scanning model used in this survey that is one of the quantitative research methods. Data was gathered by Likert type questionnaire that contains 25 questions which is developed by the researcher. The questionnaire is applied 80 pre-service teachers. After the application data was analysed by SPSS statistical software. Their opinions about global warming in the way of some variables determined by the questionnaire. According to results of the survey; the pre-service teachers' opinions don't differ by their sexuals and the departments which they are studying on
