Abstract:

To achieve rGO, firstly, graphene oxide (GO) was synthesized from graphite by Modified Hummer’s method. The C/O ratio of synthesized GO was 2, the number of layers was 7, the distance between layers was 0.88 nm, the crystal size was 19 nm, and the ID/IG value was 0.95. In this study, rGO was synthesized by two different methods from specified GO using ascorbic acid and hydroiodic acid in order to reduce the oxygen content in order to improve electrical and thermal properties. C/O ratios were calculated as 5.34-7.34, the interlayer distance was 0.36-0.39 nm, the number of layers was determined 5.30-8.96, the crystal sizes were 14-15 nm and the ID/IG value was calculated as 1.29-1.36 of rGO synthesized with ascorbic acid (A-rGO) and rGO synthesized with hydroiodic acid (H-rGO). TEM, SEM for morphological characterization and XRD, XPS, Raman, FTIR analysis for structural characterization, TG/DTA for thermal characterization and I-V an dielectric measurement for electrical characterization of all synthesized samples were performed.
