Abstract:
This study aims to analyze the energy of a building under terrestrial climate conditions and investigate methods for converting it into a green building. The current building project was modeled with the help of Autodesk Revit-2021 Architecture Simulation program. Building energy modeling was created for 162 alternative building scenarios by integrating common and alternative building-insulation materials with different thermal and physical properties into the modeled building. These alternative scenarios were saved in gbXML file format and analyzed in terms of energy performance according to the scenarios designed with the help of Autodesk Green Building Studio program. For each alternative scenario, the outputs of parameters such as total annual energy consumption, energy consumption according to places of use, CO2 emissions released from the building, energy usage intensity etc. were obtained. In addition, the annual energy production, required panel area, and payback period of the system were analyzed in case of using monocrystalline, polycrystalline and thin film photovoltaic panels in order to meet the energy required for alternative scenarios with solar energy support. Finally, among the alternative scenarios, the outer wall of the “most positive” and “most negative” alternatives for each wall type according to the electrical energy consumption of the building was redesigned to be transformed into a “green wall”. 6 new alternatives designed in this way were coded in the range of Type 163-Type168 and analyzed. By mutual evaluation of the results by the design parameters, the most applicable design in terms of energy efficiency was tried to be determined.
