Abstract:

Increasing with each passing day the world, production of vehicle tires is increasing along with the need. Depending on their use of waste tires so the amount of end of life tires increase. In the world and in our country, waste tires should be considered a significant waste because storage of waste tires that have accumulated in the fields of due to human health hazards and environmental pollution. This study, pyrolysis of waste tires with fixed bed reactor and solid, liquid and gaseous products are obtained, based on the purpose. Two different types of tire; car and truck tires, used in this process. Pyrolysis process was realized in two steps: primarily the standard Fisher Assay (TSE 729) test, then the laboratory-scale fixed bed reactor of pyrolysis. Fixed bed pyrolysis experiments were tested, two different heating rate of 5 and 10oC/min and in five different temperature of 350, 400, 450, 500, 550oC. Investigated the effect of temperature and heating rate on the resulting product quantities. Carbon black as a solid, pyrolysis oil as a liquid and gas is obtained. According to experiments conducted by the amount of resulting from the pyrolysis oil and the carbon black, the suitable condition; 10oC/min heating rate and the temperature set at 550oC. Obtained pyrolysis oil for the suitable experimental condition was built the elemental analysis, heating value, sulfur content, NMR, FT-IR, GC analysis. For the carbon black was built the elemental analysis and calorific value analysis. More detailed information about the products of this analysis have been obtained.
