Abstract:Multiple Skleroz (MS) is a very common disease of vital importance. It restricts the movement and physical activities of patients. MS treatment is not possible in full but significant progresses have been attained in the treatment of MS in the last few years. In the MS treatment, some drugs which help to protect nerves from damage are used. For this purpose, interferons, glatiramer acetate, fingolimod and cladribine are frequently used as active ingredients. Many of these compounds used in medicine are produced commercially and most of the research in this area is patented. However, its side effects are known. In this research, new substances like fingolimod which are more active than the existing drugs, with fewer side effects synthesized and structures of these synthesized compounds were verified by performing spectroscopic methods (FTIR, MS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR).
