Abstract:

It is quite important to keep continuous operability and performance of the machines used in critical processes and constantly working systems at the same level. To achieve this predictive maintenance techniques are used beside the conventional ones in order to determine any malfunctions at the beginning and in the development process. In this study first of all a general information about predictive maintenance, vibration analysis and the vibration characteristics of typical malfunctions has been given and different types of malfunctions which were determined after the predictive maintenance care of continuous form printing pres machine which is used in the printing sector have been analysed. A continuous forum printing pres machine has been separated into different units and a vibration measurement plan for the machine has been prepared by determining the technical properties and vibration measurement points of the models. Vibration measurements from these measurement points have been obtained on the basis of determined periods in the study programmes. The vibration tendencies of the vibrations which are obtained have been determined by anaysing them at their period and frequency description areas. In these vibration analysis characteristics of typical malfunctions have been are investigated and after the consequence of determining the levels of defined malfunctions, the development of malfunctions tendencies have been determined by trends and multiple spectrum graphics. It has been targeted to prevent further problems by preempting these malfunctions which are under observation before they reach dangerous levels. If it is reguired malfunctions have been interfered with or irregular elements have been expected to fulfil their service life in the machinery. When the results of the vibration anaysis are evaluated it is observed that malfunctions of machine parts of the continuous form press machine could be idendified by way of the vibration analysis. Thanks to the application of predictive maintenance, the risk of more serious damage has been obviated by being interfered with malfunctions in the evolution phase and it has been achieved that machine parts are able to use exactly their full service of life expectancy.
