The main aim of this project is to state the physical and physiological profiles of the fifty six female volleyball players who play volleyball in Turkish Volleyball Leagues (first league) and to determine their status in the context of the literature. From Gazi University Volleyball Teams (n=10), Emlakbank T.O.K.İ Volleyball Teams (n=9), İller Bankası Volleyball Teams (n=7), T.E.D Kolejliler Volleyball Teams (n=12), Türk Telekom Volleyball Teams (n=10), S.S.K Volleyball Teams, at total (n=56) female volleyball players that play volleyball in the teams of 2005-2006 Ankara 1. Distinct Away Women Volleyball League are participated as subjects in this research. Here are the values which are the results of the measures taken from the subjects: Age 24.21±4.83, height 182.05±05cm, weight 68±7.74kg, vertical jump 47.52±3.89cm, horizontal jump 217.33±10.52, 20m sprint 3.99±0.30sec, technical running 18.98±0.41sec, pass test 13.82 ±4.58, anaerobic power 71.16±10.47kg.m/sec, body fat percentage %21.93±3.31, right hand power 36.19±4.20kg, left hand power 34.81±4kg, reaction time light right hand 207.58±37.71msec, reaction time (light) left hand 199.08±32.49msec, reaction time (sound) right hand 184.57 ±49.04msec, reaction time (sound) left hand 181.48±42.19m sec, throwing the weight-ball forwards 7.98 ±0.96m, throwing the weight-ball backwards 10.60±0.80m, flexibility 30.52±5.17cm. As a result, when the former researches are investigated, it is clearly seen that the average vertical and horizontal jump values are at medium level whereas the other measures have some similarities. It is also suggested that these measures can be widened by means of applying the same measures to the male volleyball players and some certain physical and physiological norms can be formed according to the results. And then, the results can be compared with the international norms and some complementary training programmes can be prepared as well.
