NONPARAWETRtC CONTROL CHARTS (ffl.Sc Thesis) Saris SAYİN GAZİ UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY January 2ÖÖ2 ABSTRACT In this study, parametric control charts and related concepts are explained without deeply and then nonparametric control charts counted new for Turkey are examined. Next, X control chart.parametric method, and sign chart, nonparametric method, are compared in terms of their power. When sample size increases and change in location is large both method's power is almost same while the assumption of normality is provided.
