The Views of Teachers About 9 th Grade Physıcs Textbook Prepared According to the Secondary School Curriculum of the Year 2013: Example of Konya

This study aimed to evaluate the Physics textbook for 9th grade which is prepared according to the 2013 curriculum in accordance with the opinions of the teachers and to make recommendations to the authors according to the outcome of the evaluation. In this study, the screening model has been used which aims to represent a state in its own circumstances. In order to implement this screening model, the survey which is developed by Dülgeroğlu (2010) and has the reliability factor value as 0,94 (cronbach alfa), has been conducted with 86 physics teachers in Konya city centre and districts. The teachersz answers to the 5 point likert scale survey have been transfered to the computer and analysed with using SPSS 21 statistics software. According to the results of the survey, teachers have given average 3,07 points out of 5 to 9th classzs textbook of physıcs in accordance with visual design-content-language and expression-assesmentand evaluation. This result is below than the criteria of the Ministry of National Education which is 3,3. Therefore it has been stated that this textbook is below the expectations of the teachers.
