Abstract:The purpose of this research is to study the technopedagogical knowledge competency level of the foreign language teachers in Turkey. This research was realized in the first term of the academic year 2017-2018. It consists of 188 pre-service teachers who are studying in the 4th class of English, German, French, and Arabic language teaching departments of the Pedagogic Faculty of Gazi in Gazi University. The data of our research were collected through the Technopedagogical Education Competency Scale (TPACK-deep) prepared by Yurdakul (2012) and composed of 33 articles and 4 sub-dimensions. While analysing the collected data of the research, it has been noticed that the foreign language pre-service teachers consider themselves quiet qualified regarding the technopedagogical education. In addition, between the foreign language pre-service teachers, it has not been found any significant difference in respect of the general and sub-dimension averages of technopedagogical education, the general and sub-dimension averages of gender, and the general averages of department. However, the one significant difference has been found in the exertion sub-dimension according to the variable of the department. As a result, it has been observed that the self-efficacy belief of the French pre-service teachers is significantly high in comparison with the self-efficacy belief of the English pre-service teachers. In the conclusion, the delimitations of this research and the suggestions concerning the future TPACK studies have been presented.
