Definition of the stress analysis and notch effects in the angled drilled plates under different stresses

Abstract:

In this study, parametric solid model of beams have been designed with Solidworks. These models were analyzed on the Ansys programme. On the Ansys static structural analyses were performed. Firstly, parametric forces were defined and applied to the beams which are angle such as 15º, 30º, 45º, 60º, 75º, 90º drilled beams like I beam, T beam, rectangular beam and rectangular tube, circular beam and circular tube. The stress analyses were analyzed under parametric forces such as 2500N, 5000N, 10000N, 15000N, 20000N, 25000N. The notch effect on the materials was determined. The results of Ansys were compared with the results obtained by mathematical calculations. As a result of these comparisons, some answers were found. Which beam has more elongation under tensile stress? which drilling angle profile has more effect than other angles? What are the diffrences between drilled and undrilled beam? Which beam has more stress against elongation? Where can we use these angled drilling applications? These questions were answered owing to the Ansys analyses and math calculations comparisons. All comparison and analysis results were shown on graphics and tables.
