Abstract:
In this study, the opinions of teachers and students about the acquisitions dimensions of the primary school music lesson curriculum were taken In line with these views, it is aimed to reveal the professional competence levels of classroom teachers and prospective classroom teachers in the field of music. The study group of the study consist of 50 class teacher candidates working in Gazi University and Hacettepe University Class Education Department in 2017-2018 academic year and 50 class teachers working in Çankaya District. The study is limited to the music course teaching programs and in Gazi, Ankara, Hacettepe Universities and the subject and achievements of the music education curriculum of the first and second classes in primary school. The research is a descriptive study in a general survey model. In this study, the three-point Likert scales were applied by the researcher to determine the opinions about the competencies of the classroom teachers and pre-service teachers for the music lesson curriculum. In order to compare the programs, expert opinion was consulted. It is seen that determining the competencies and deficiencies of teachers and teacher candidates is important in terms of determining the measures to be taken in this regard and introducing suggestions. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the experienced classroom teachers were more inadequate compared to the teacher candidates in terms of teaching and practising the subjects and acquisitions and that the course outputs of the subject and achievements in the (MNE) Music Course Teaching Program.
