Changes of manufacturing types have reflected in lifestyles and consumption habits in our age, which has the rapid progression of scientific and technological developments. New designs are produced every day in industrial areas, these produced designs are consumed as quickly as produced, and everything is commoditized. This composed fast cycle causes people to lose their thinking skill while consuming commodities. The reason why people consume, what are the values they keep in mind while consuming is explained based on historical data. One of the most important elements of this cycle, which also ensures the continuity of the cycle, is education process.In the research, the place of meta aesthetics' notion in the industrial ceramic design education is discussed in the context of universities and factories. It is examined that, how much meta aesthetic notion is teached in the industrial ceramics design class and while factories making their designs how much they consider the aesthetic aspects of the products and its reflection to the consumers. It is discussed the meta which have purchase and sale value and are preferred by the consumers with the extent of education, design, production and consumption. It is a qualitative research and a case study pattern. The sampling of the research consists of 10 faculty members and 17 designers and they are chosen by typical case sampling method. The semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was applied to the study group and content analysis was done. In the result of the analysis, it is observed that concept of meta aesthetics' have a narrow coverage in the university classes, students have difficulties to reflect meta aesthetic to their works. It is observed that, the circumstance is also related to student's choice and instructional program. Designers, who have started to work, have faced difficulties because they did not get education of meta aesthetics during university education, they did not know factory work conditions and types of production. In this context, university factories cooperation; the correct guidance of student for his educational process, learning the concept of meta aesthetics are reached conclusions that it is necessary to employ students after graduation.
