Abstract:Arkadaş is a weekly magazine that talks about art, sport, woman, humor, fashion, sciences, social sciences etc. and its managing director is Sedat Simavi. Old letters issues from 1 to 23 of Arkadaş which were published in 1928 transcribed to new Turkish letters. It has been examined in terms of form, content and education. It is aimed to introduce this magazine which has not studied before and contribute to Turkish education, culture and press. The magazine informs about current events, developments, fashion, perspectives on women, marriage, professions, new Turkish letters etc. period of its publication and proves that the transition process to the new Turkish letters started before the alphabet reform therefore this study is an important. The qualitative research methods were used in this study. As a results, the magazine was published to be friend with readers, gave informations, advices and educated them through this way. New Turkish letters were introduced and taught before the alphabet reform
