Abstract:The aim of this study is to analyze the components that determine the sense of belonging to the environment and the perception of the user in the urban design. In this context, as an example area, the changes in zoning plans and architectural structure of Ankara Bahçelievler in the historical process were examined. Accordingly, a survey was conducted among those living in Bahçelievler. The questionnaire questions are about the perception of the inhabitants at the city and neighborhood level and the sense of belonging to the living environment. With the data obtained, a relationship has been established between the physical properties of urban space and the effects and relationships of individuals' socioeconomic characteristics on perception and sense of belonging. According to the results of the regression analysis, Ankara life time in Bahçelievler for the perception of the city; Bahçelievler user perception was found to be the strongest perception components for neighborhood perception. Household size was found to be the strongest variable in the belonging questions of Ankara and Bahçelievler District living environments. The reason for this variable to have the strongest influence and relationship in the questions of belonging to the living environment is that it has a close relationship with common spatial expectations and their subcomponents. In the city perception questions of the research, the most severe effect and related definition of the life-time component in Bahçelievler is the interpretation and interpretation of the Ankara city characteristics, which are collected and organized by the sensory organs. Therefore, it is determined that the most important factors affecting perception comprehension is life time in the space. For example, according to the results of the survey, problems such as insufficient green areas, lack of bicycles and disabled roads, residents not to respect the working hours of commercial enterprises and entertainment venues and making noise are observed in Bahçelievler's current urban design plan.
