Abstract:This research was prepared to determine occupational problems of history education and history teachers working in Kastamonu private courses. It was prepared by taking 30 history teachers' working in Kastamonu private courses thoughts and ideas into consideration. Besides occupational problems, purpose of history education in private courses, evaluation, success, index, limits were also taken into consideration. Field research was also done. Scanning model was used to find out the results. A four sectional survey was used to find the related data. First part contains 29 proposition about history teachers' personal and occupational information. In second part, there are 41 to proposition determine the knowledge of history education in private courses. In 3rd part there are 39 proposition about problems of history teaching in private courses. In last part there are suggestions. As a result of the research; problems of history teachers working in private courses in Kastamonu and the procedure of history education determined and also found out that mentioned problems can be seen suggestions were put forward to fix the problems. According to the research, private course teaching is preferred mostly by young teachers and the proportion of voluntaries are seemed more than nonvoluntaries. Considering findings, there is no difference between the way the history courses teaches and its aim, but encountered difficulties are made significant differences between them. It is determined that the perception of professional sufficiency of private course teachers is originated by their control on the topic.
