Abstract:

In this research, the interpersonal relationship and communication between 144 students

receiving art education at Gazi University Gazi Faculty of Education, Art Education

Department were examined. In this study, it is aimed to make a comprehensive literature

study about interpersonal relations and communication status of students who are educated

in higher education institutions providing art education. In addition, it was aimed to

determine the opinions of students and art educators who took art education about

interpersonal relationship and communication. This research is planned to deal with problem

solving, interpersonal relations and interpersonal communication in the interpersonal

relations and communication of art education students. Gazi University, Department of

Painting and Sculpture, is limited to 2, 3 and 4 class students. The questionnaire form

developed by the researcher was used to determine the demographic information of the

individuals. To determine the communication skills of students ”Communication Skills

Scale“ developed by Korkut-Owen and Bugay (2014) was used. The results were discussed

and recommendations for future research were presented. This research consists of six

chapters. The first part includes the problem, purpose, importance, assumptions and

limitations of the research. The second part is related researches. In the third chapter, the

conceptual framework of the research is included. In the fourth part, which is the method

section, there is an analysis of the model, the universe and the sample and the data. The fifth

part of the study is the findings, the sixth part is the conclusion, discussion and suggestions

part.
