Abstract:

Vector metric space has been introduced and basic concepts in the theory of metric spaces have been defined in this space. Various fixed point theorems have been given. Concept of strict positivity has been introduced. Coupled fixed point and mixed monotone property have been introduced in partially ordered metric spaces. Existence and uniqueness of coupled fixed point in partially ordered metric spaces have been investigated. In the last part of this thesis coupled fixed point theorems were given and fixed point theory results were generalized in vector metric spaces.
