Abstract:

Businesses need to excel in various areas in order to compete because of the increasing technology level, customer requirements and purchasing power. Nowadays, it is of great importance to shorten the operation periods in service and production sector. Businesses that strive to increase customer satisfaction, shorten product cycle times, expose products to the market and reduce costs prevent other enterprises. In this point, Industry 4.0 which is quite mentioned in the world and which is newly formed in our country, emerges as an important element. Firstly, the concept of Industry 4.0, which we heard as a concept in 2011, has attracted interest in the academic world and has been used in applications and it is obvious that it will be used in the following years. Made this argument for several businesses located in different sites of the manufacturing sector in Turkey in the work industry 4.0 awareness on prepared a survey link via www.onlineanketler.com results of statistical results are evaluated in the 19th version of SPSS and presented in the literature. The questionnaire was designed by us and Kaiser Meyer Olkin test and Bartlett test methods were used to determine its validity. Cronbach's alpha coefficient value was used to determine reliability. Afterwards, the normality test was performed and the answers of the participants to the questions were evaluated one by one. In this study, the staff of 351 different enterprises have participated and the awareness of the enterprises operating in certain sectors in production is determined as 76.35%, however, the answers to the questions regarding the existence of the application are quite low. In this thesis, theoretical test questions in which academics have the right answer on Industry 4.0 awareness were prepared and the answers of academicians were evaluated one by one. 184 academicians participated in this study. In the academic world, awareness is high and 25% of academicians are involved in the study of Industry 4.0.
