Abstract:In this study, aluminum powders produced by powder metallurgy method were consolidated to high density at very low temperatures by Equal Channel Angular Densification/Pressing (ECAD/ECAP) processes in a furnace with hidrolic press and the wear behaviour of this material was in investigated. The ECAD/ECAP processes were carried out using route C at various pass number as well as press punch speed of 1mm.s-1 in a special mould which has high toughness. The density and hardness tests of the specimens produced were done and then the same specimens were subjected to wear test using special attachment. As a result, the specimens produced by ECAD / ECAP processes using aluminum powders were shown high density and hardness values and also the behaviour increased with an increasing ECAD / ECAP passes.
