Abstract:

In this study, in single-junction solar cells have been modelled by means of diffusion-drift equations which allow to observe effects of detailed balance equations and photovoltaic cell parameters which ensure to find the target efficiency and the obtained results have been compared. Calculations have been repeated for solar cells made from seven different materials (GaAs, Si, Ge, InP, InGaAs, InGaP, InGaAsP) and thickness and additive concentration values that ensure maximum efficiency have been determined. For the confirmation of the model used, results that were implemented to structures in the literature and compatible results with literature have been obtained.
