Abstract:The aim of this research is to evaluate the in-service education activities applied in iron and steel factories in Turkey. The evaluation has been analyzed according to the stages including the stating of needs of education, planning, programming, applying, evaluating and improving. Research universe consists of directors, assistant directors, chiefs, chief assistants and specialists. The sample consists of 80 administrators working in İskenderun, Sivas, Erdemir-Divriği Iron and Steel Factories of research universe. In this research, intended to get opinions of staff working in administration education reports and a questionnaire are used. The data collected from questionnaires is transferred to SPSS program and commented by analyzing. As a result of the research, it is an important lack that education authorities don't consist of well-devepoled specialists on educational sciences. Also, the success expected from in-service education is affected by the fact that staff don't benefit from the internal and oversea education opportunities. Therefore, it can be useful that specialists' opinions are consulted about the improvement and evaluation of in-service education programmes and that according to the opinions of participants about the improvement of in-service education, research findings are used to remove the mistakes and lacks.
