Abstract:In this study; it has aimed to examine the effect on students' achievement and attitudes to the unit of "World Power: The Ottoman Empire (1453-1600)" toward history lesson on 10th grade history lesson in the secondary school using virtual museum tour in the classroom atmosphere. "Pretest-posttest with control group quasi experimental pattern design" has been preferred in this research. The survey has been applied to the students who are studying in the department of 10/A and 10/B in private secondary school in Gölbaşı that is the province of Ankara, in 2015-2016 academic year. The attitude scale to the history lesson and the success test to the relevant unit which developed by the researcher has been used as a data collection tool. The application has been carried out in the classroom environment by the researcher. The certain museums which offer opportunity to visit a virtual museum on the internet environment have been selected for the application area on the subject of the thesis. The data obtained from the data collection tool has been evaluated by the located in SPSS dependent and assessed using t-test for independent groups. According to the general result obtained from the research; it has been observed that a significant difference in achievement related to their attitude and unit for the experimental group students of history lessons. It can be said that virtual museum visits that have became effective for the increasing in their attitudes and the academic success of the students in class 10/A which defined experimental group in history lesson.
