Abstract:Supply Chain Management plays an important role in success and performance of companies. Supply Chains should adapt to changes in technology and customer expectation to be competitive in the market. Factors such as reducing risks, increasing supply chain performance, social requirements and need for influencing customers resulted in increasing the attraction on Sustainable Supply Chain concept. In this direction, companies should maintain supply chain activities by taking into consideration economic, environmental and social dimensions. In addition, supply chain risks are evaluated with qualitative methods rather than quantitative methods. Considering these circumstances, this thesis is executed on a company operating in defense industry in Ankara and proposes a quantitative framework which enables evaluation of risk and risk management implementations using a multi-criteria decision method. Suppliers that have critical importance are classified according to business volume, supplier capability and schedule certainty; and Analytical Hierarchy Process and Rating method are implemented together. Based on the scores given by decision makers, hazard, vulnerability and risk management implementations values are calculated. In this direction, Sustainable Supply Risk Score is calculated for each supplier portfolio and according to results obtained, specific risk reduction and monitoring implementations are proposed. In the defense industry sector, it is aimed to provide an effective supply chain risk management that provides long-term partnerships with suppliers and works with strategic customers, with a high product variety, high quality expectancy and high supplier risks.
