HI NONPARAMETRIC ANALYSIS OF EXPERIMENTS Abdfilsamet DURAKO?LU GAZİ UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY June 2000 ABSTRACT The aim of this project is to introduce non-parametric procedures based on ranking of the data values in the analysis of a factorial experiment instead of parametric procedures which are invalid in the case of homogenous variance and normality assumptions are not provided. Firstly, the studies related with this subject are presented and the it was mentioned the usage of non- parametric procedures in one-way, two-way and higher-way layouts. Application is done on the four different types of data. The data are used for one-way layout. The second data are used in order to examine the effects of other treatment groups versus one control group. The third data are used in two-way layout in the case of there is only one observation in each cell. The last data is again used in two-way layout; however, in this time it is required to have equal and more than one observation in each cell. The results of the experiments are interpreted.
