Abstract:

In this study, low cost electrical energy measuring and recording embedded system has been designed to be used in micro smart grids. In addition, a control algorithm is proposed to run on the embedded system. The aim of this study is to minimize the use of grid energy for low-cost invoices and a cleaner environment. This system, which has very small processing power, is used to manage the use of grid energy and renewable energy sources according to energy demands in a house or building. This embedded system is controlled by the Arduino development board. In this study, data was collected from four different devices from a 65 m2 house. Then a simulation tool was designed with Matlab Simulink. This tool recommends the most appropriate use of energy using data collected from devices.
