Abstract:In today's knowledge area, there is too much knowledge in one field. Therefore, it isn't often possible to teach the students all this information. Many things would effect learning and teaching such a s school and classroom environment, the materials that are used, application methods, teaching methods, the qualities of the teacher and the students. Because of the enlargement of the curriculum the limited lesson hours should be used very carefully and efficiently. Only by that way, the students will be able to reach the target knowledge level. However, generally as the teacher don't know which methods and which topic to use with which kind of material and aiding resources, the students cannot reach the expected level of knowledge. In this study, the qualities that should be found in applied science teachers and the aims of science education have been indicated. The advantages and the disadvantages of teaching methods used in the process of teaching sciences have been explained. In addition, the qualities of the materials and their application methods have been indicated. In conclusion, the colleges, public schools and courses have been compared in cases of teaching methods, teacher qualities, classroom environment, and lesson resources, and materials. vi Since changes occurring in the world affect everything, they also cause rapid educational changes. In the three institutions, there are similar or different education and learning conditions. This research explains the reason why the students would prefer the colleges and courses despite their costs. The educational institutions have the responsibility to start change process in the public. So that they have to make changes according to their constructional features, the environment, teacher, student and parents' expectations.
