Corrosion can be defined as the disintegration of a material into its constituent atoms due to chemical reactions with its surroundings. Electroless Nickel Coating (ENC) method is one of the engineers coating method which provides perfect abrasion resistance, in addition to the giving equal coating thickness without affected from part's shape. In this study, Nickel coating ability of SAE1010 sheet steel parts by means of electroless coating method and corrosion resistance of electroless nickel coating in alkaline and acid bath is examined. The samples are coated with alkaline and acidic electroless nickel coating. Coated and non-coated samples of SAE1010 sheet steels are tested in a tap water and %3.5 g/l, NaCl-water baths with constant current and voltage during 24.48 and 72 hour. According to the experimental results, acidic and alkaline coated materials are more resistant then non- coated ones. Moreover, results indicate that alkaline coating is more affected than acidic coating against to corrosion. Samples are more corrosive in the salted water when compared to the tap water
