Abstract:

In this study, the magnetic behavior of nano surfaces were investigated by using the Creutz Cellular Automaton (CCA) algorithm for spin-1/2 Ising model. For this purpose, the changes in the thermodynamic quantities with temperature in square lattices (side lengths: L = 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512), were formed for both periodic and free edge boundary conditions separately by using CCA algorithm. Simulation results showed that square lattices, which have side lengths L≤ 32 with free edge boundary conditions exhibit nano-surface behavior.
