Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to introduce Damico One-Sample Test for Goodness of Fit and compare it with other Goodness of Fit tests. In this scope, firstly, studies about Goodness of Fit tests are mentioned. Secondly, Chi-Square Goodness of Fit test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov Goodness of Fit Test, Lilliefors Goodness of Fit Test, Anderson-Darling's D Test and Watson's 2 n U Test for Goodness of Fit are discussed briefly. Damico One-Sample Test for Goodness of Fit is discussed throughly in the third section. In the last part, Damico's A Test and some other tests from the second part are compared with a simulation study with respect to the reject rates for null hypothesis when it true and the reject rates for the null hypothesis when it false. As a result, Damico's A test gives beter results than other tests with respect to both reject rates for null hypothesis that is true and reject rates for the null hypothesis that is false in many situations.
