Abstract:
The integration of technology, which changes and develops with the ordinary flow of life, into life and the adoption of it by users has occurred quickly. Most individuals who want to keep up with this speed and cannot adapt have become either cyberbullies or cyber victims. The aim of this study is to analyze the content of postgraduate theses about cyberbullying. In this context, a total of 109 theses from master's, doctoral and medical specialization thesis types in the national thesis center of YÖK were reached and content analyzes were made. Qualitative research method was used in the study. According to the results of the research, the most theses are in the type of master's thesis in 2019. The majority of theses are written in Turkish. Most theses were done in Ankara and Istanbul Universities. The Most theses were published in the department of educational sciences. Mostly, the city where the thesis studies are carried out is Istanbul. The mostly keywords of cyberbullying were used in the theses. The mostly quantitative research model was used. The mostly high school students were chosen as the sample level. The mostly the range of 301-400 was chosen as the sample size. Random sampling method was used the most among the sampling methods. Mostly, pre-prepared data collection tools were used in theses. T-Test was mostly used in the analysis of the data. The mostly cyberbullying and cyber victimization were used in the dependent variables, and gender variables were used in the independent variables. The professions of thesis writers are psychological counselors and guidance teachers. In the results of the theses, most it was concluded that boys do cyberbullying more than girls. In the thesis proposals, the most suggestions for using different samples, sample groups and sampling methods are given.
