Abstract:In educational institutions, it is important to deal with in- depth analysis efficiency of school administrators, known as technology leaders, in terms of different dimension. The purpose of this study is to determine the attitudes of school administrators regarding their duties and responsibilities in technology integration in education and to make evaluations in this direction. The sample of this study comprises administrators working in different types and different levels of state schools in Meram and Seydişehir which are central and remote districts of Konya province respectively. Data were collected using qualitative research methods. The phenomenology design, one of qualitative research methods, was used in the study. School administrators' opinions on the efficiencies, knowledge, practices, opportunities and expectations of technology integration in education were determined. In this context, interviews were conducted with 40 school administrators, 20 in Meram district and 20 in Seydişehir district, using semi-structured interview forms. Content and descriptive were used in analyzing the qualitative data obtained from the research. As a result of the analysis of the qualitative data obtained, it was seen that they focused on the concept of technology and educational technologies in the context of technology integration, tools that make life easier and auxiliary equipment used to increase efficiency in the educational environment. Beside, school administrators indicated that technology integration in viii education has positive effects on teacher, student, educational institution and school-parent relationship, and also technology integration is urgently needed, and they use more than one educational technologies in hardware and software in their institutions. Especially the administrators in vocational education institutions mentioned that the software programs they develop on technology integration in education will provide great easiness in the course and management processes. And also, they stated that their priorities in ensuring technology integration in education are the infrastructure and economic process of the institution. Therefore, depending on the elimination of these, they stated that technology integrated classroom environments of different dimensions can be created. Administrators stated that there is a need and demand for technology integration in numerical and applied courses as well as many other courses. In addition, it has been determined that both administrators and teachers need in-service training on technology integration in education, and the content, venue and times of in-service training in this field need to be updated. Although the school administrators had different opinions and expectations in terms of technology integration, they got together in a common ground in terms of the tool supply, demand for school staff and having equal opportunities with all the other institutions. And also, it has been determined that they provide tools and equipment by conducting many state-funded technology integration projects and applications locally in their own institutions. In line with the results obtained, the researcher put forward some recommendations ranging from in-service trainings, in-class practices, administration studies, budget support to a learning management system, Educational Information Network (EBA) in which distant education carries on.
