Abstract:
The aim of this study is to combine the effect sizes of the studies which demonstrate the effect of Cooperative Learning Approach on students' academic achievements through experimental methods. In this direction, it is aimed to investigate whether the effect size to be obtained differs according to the type of publication included in the meta-analysis, the students' learning areas and levels, cooperative learning techniques and sample size. Meta-analysis is a method of statistical analysis which obtained from numerical data of independent studies conducted on the same subject. In this context, the result of literature review, in Turkey, English and Turkish 104 studies which investigated the effectiveness of Cooperative Learning Approach on students' academic achievements and accordance with the coding guidelines between the years 2004-2018 were included in the meta-analysis. As a result of the study, it was revealed that Cooperative Learning Approach had a positive and strong effect on sudents' academic achievement (d=1.048).
