Abstract:

Radio link systems have been used in telephony or applications that require less bandwidth because of their capacity earlier. However today; thanks to evolving technology, high capacity radio link systems have gained the opportunity to provide uninterrupted communication. Today, institutions of units located in different locations are save up installation time and the cost of high installation and renting of the cable system (taking into account the cost of installation only) with using the radio link systems. It is also at GSM technology that is currently the most widely used wireless communication system, radio link systems providing communication links between base stations have begun using the main line or as a backup for the fiber-optic cable. In this study, backing up the wired system using radio link systems or based entirely be used in the removal of more simple and cost-free system, fiber optical cable connection to be backed up by radio link system has been carried out in practice in a laboratory environment. With this environment; it has been shown that voice, data or image transmission can be made and the communication systems to be backed up with radio link systems. In the study, also provides general information about the basics of transmission lines, wired and wireless communication systems are mentioned. Types of radio link systems, operating structure, information about work areas and installation stage are given. With application over the radio link system in a laboratory environment by performing image transfer was calculated required operating parameters. Also in the study, two remote locations (Ankara-Dikmen and Ankara-Gölbaşı) between radio link systems are designed and made the necessary calculations.
